Vintage Tag Card!!

Made this little card today. I really liked this stamp, saw it in
hobbycraft a while back. When I went back last week it had
been reduced to £7.99 so I thought mmmm not bad....shall I?
shan't I??? Well I did!! and when I got to the till it had gone
down even more to 4.99 whoo hoo bargain!!!! so had a little
practice run with it today. Coloured with W & N water colour
pallette, then distressed with Tom Holtz Vintage Photo.
Punched out hearts and holly. Merry Christmas is an old
stamp from Personal Impressions, stamped with Encore
Ultimate Metallic Gold. Lace, flower, ribbon and brad from stash,
papers from DC Victorian Christmas, finished off with a sprinkling
of stickles star dust! think that's everything!! TFL xx

powder in kaleidoscope and heat embossed. Tore some nice
purple snow drifts for the background and added sparkles.

OMG!!! These stamps seem to have taken me forever to finish,
but at last they are all present and correct!!! Hooray!!! I must
say, I have completed two collections!!! I also fitted in a few
birthday cards too!!!
I have mounted them all on gate fold cards. Stamped images
onto white card with Black Staz-On. Punched out design with
heart shape and stamped wording seperately, again with
Staz-On. Water coloured with W & N water colour paints and
edged with same.
Added sparkle to coloured edges, then mat and layered with
white card then co-ordinating colour card and used foam pads to
give 3d effect. TFL xx

Christmas at our House!!!

Wouldn't mind this as my front door!!! This card I have had a
few requests for! It is a front door with lovely pillars. To make
it personalised either use their door number or the Name of
the house or even use their Surnames that always looks
good! The card for the door and surround has fine lines embossed
into it. Hand drew and cut out all the different bits and pieces
and arranged. When you make any new templates always make
up two sets, one on just plain white card to keep for future
cards. Used peel-off stickers for the letter box and door knob
(which was the centre of the letter 'O')! and door No.
Cut a red piece of card for the door mat and added peel-off
greeting. The Wreath and trees are embellishments from
local craft shop, ribbon from stash. TFL xx

Snow is in the Air!

Made this little card today after the weather report.....saying
snow is heading our way by the end of the week! Brrrrrr -
though I think this little card has a warm feel to it?
I used card that has an iridescent look under the light.
Stamped randomly with snowflake stamp from (Santa Rosa CA)
in clear embossing ink then added white embossing powder and
set with heat gun. I cut another piece of card (about an inch thick
to wrap around the card) punched a hole into the side of the card
and wrap.
Threaded an antique white ribbon and tied on sentiment. As the
card does not open fully with the ribbon is tied through it, I scored
a new fold about an inch in from the edge of the card
(back and front). I then placed double sided tape down
the edge of this new fold to secure. Finally added this beautiful
snowflake embellishment. TFL xx
P.S. Click on images for a close up!! you get a much clearer view
of the snowflakes. xx

Made this little cheeky chappy yesterday. This is an old stamp
of mine, it has no print on it so don't know where its from (sorry!)
Image stamped with silver embossing ink and set with heat gun.
Punched out image with heart punch. Sentiment is attached to
stamp so cut off to use seperately. Used Versa Color (Petal Pink)
to colour edges and used sparkles in star dust and red
(for his breast). Attached him with foam pads to give 3d
effect and added hand made paper from stash, finished off
with pink organza ribbon. I think he looks soooooooo cold!!

challenge ever). This stamp PB (Sight of Stars quote by Van Gogh)
I have had for a couple of years and I love it!!!! Sorry about photo!
If you click onto piccies you do get a bit of a better close-up???
With this Christmas Card I have stamped it onto vellum with
Black StazOn, matted and layered with turqoise blue and then
brown card stock. I had some sheer fabric with little pieces of
sparkle in my stash so cut it to size and layered it on top and
attached with white brad. Down the side I have attached a
beautiful large wire star. I then punched some small stars from
silver glitter card and stuck these on along with some from
a Peel off, also Merry Christmas Peel off along side. I hope they

Christmas Pud!!

Just a quick post of my Christmas Pudding Card. This is one
of last years but I might do a few more as they were quite
popular. I don't own one of those machines that embosses
your papers I actually bought the paper with the dots!! yes
back in the good old days ha ha. So just punched 2 large
circles, the same punch I used for the pram, that is such
a good punch! Cut the white icing one free hand, added the
holly (which is a cake decoration) and glittered. Sentiment
is printed onto velum paper. Red card stock was used to back
it, then I stitched on some beads and used silver thread to
attach it. TFL xx

Greetings from the Wise!!

Hello all you lovely crafty bloggers out there, well my second
christmas card whoo hoo, at this rate (1 a day) I should be able to
make about 40 before Christmas if I'm lucky! This little stamp is
from Penny Black (which happen to be my all time favourite
stamping company), even from when I first started stamping.
I love all their stamps, they seem to inspire me the most.
Stamped image three times, then hand drew the twig with my
Le Plume II dark brown fine tip marker. Images were coloured
with water colour pencils, although again, I used my Tim Holtz
ink pad for the owls fur, I really like the brown it produces.
Glittered the fur on their hats and the star and also corners of
paper. Sentiment produced from word art. TFL.
Shall I try and fit another one in today mmmmm I'll try. xx
P.S. Well I have just been blog hopping and found a Saturday
Challenge for Penny Black stamps (I am new to all this!!)
as I have lots of Penny Black Stamps and don't stop raving
about them I think I shall have a go at entering, here is the
link if you fancy having a go and good luck xx

I'm In Love!!!

OMG!! this has got to be my favourite stamp ever!!!!!
It is the funniest, cutest and most lovable stamp in my
collection - move over Sarah Kay (sorry)!
I couldn't wait to get going on this, his face just says it
all!!! I think everyone has had one of these jumpers...Love It!!
I have used water colour pencils, although to colour his
fur I used my Tim Holtz distressing Ink, just dipped my
brush onto stamp pad. Card from DCWV stack. Snowflakes
are punched from glitter card although it hasn't shown up
very well. Sentiment is rub on, ribbon from stash. TFLxx

The Cogs are in Motion!!!

Well I'm really getting into the spirit of Christmas, even composed
my own little poem and doodles!!!! I have mounted it onto a piece
of card which I have covered both sides with K & Co papers, I really
wanted to give it a vintage feel; as if I had just been up into the loft
and found this old poem. I added embellishments, lace and some
holly and poinsettias to give it character.
I think you should all have a go at composing a Christmas poem with
doodles, made up from the word CHRISTMAS!!
I had so much fun trying to get things to rhyme and swapping them
around, it was hubby who came up trumps on the last line as I had
"Stars that light up the sky" and was ages trying to get
something to rhyme with sky!!! then hubby has a look and says why
has it got to be sky? why don't you have that twinkle at night!!!
and would you know it Christmas is here Oh what a delight just
came through.. Happy Poem writing I would love to know some
of your versions TFLxx
P.S. If you click onto the pictures you get a better close up. xx

Sarah Kay Rules OK!!!

This has got to be my favourite Sarah Kay image; I think
her drawings are so detailed, they seem to go with all
occasions for cardsmaking. Made this little one for my
friend who's boyfriend has the farm - remember cow-boy!!!!
well she has just had some chicks hatch and thought this
worked well. I just need to improve my watercolour
painting - I think I use too much water???? TFL xx

Shopping at Tiffany's!!

Here is the Tiffany Bag, this was done for an 18th Birthday.
Same style as the Chanel Bag, made my own template, I
copied the fold patterns of a normal shopping bag. Used
rivets for handle cord and added designer names, also
added a little silver heart embellishment. TFL xx

Designer Dreams!!!

Made a few of these birthday cards, I know you are
not meant to use brand names, but surely it's free
advertising for them? I also do a Tiffany one, if I can find the
picci I'll post it. Bag is made from my own template. Cord
threaded through holes made with rivet gun. Card
is a nice glossy black, Dior bow is made by folding ribbon
at different lengths then securing by sewing the central one,
which is wrapped around in the other direction. Tissue paper
is added to bag for effect. TFL xx

Watering Can Fan!

Here's a card I did for an avid gardening fan. I drew the
watering can shape freehand onto white card to use as a
template and cut it out.
I then drew around it onto silver mirri card and cut out.
I drew a heart pattern on the front and spout in a blue/green
pencil to make it look weathered. Added lots and lots of flowers.
Sign is stamped and wood effect is hand drawn. Ribbon and
butterflies from stash. TFL xx

Flutter By......

This was a request for a ladies 60th birthday.
Two different sized butterfly rubber stamps were used.
The larger one is Inkadinkadoo, smaller is Inca Stamp Co.
Both stamped with staze on black ink, then hand painted with
sparkling H2o's and cut out. For the background I painted
straight onto the rubber stamps again with sparking H20's
but spritzed with water to give a softer less concentrated
effect. The box was also stamped this way to match.
Sentiment is Hero Arts stamp, stamped with embossing ink
and heat set. Peel off sentiment placed on ribbon and
coloured with peel off colouring pens to match.
Ribbon and gem from stash. TFL xx

60th Birthday Nan!

Made this card for a young lad who had given his Nan a lot
of worry!! He even wrote the poem himself! I think he is
definately back in her good books.
