I'm Wishing on a Star....

Hello lovely bloggers, I hope you are all fine and dandy on this
brisk, rainy/sleety/snowy day! I had packed away my winter
boots last week, only to get them back out again yesterday! I have
been a bit busy of late plus me and hubby had the lurgy! plus had
a few commissions just to make sure I wasn't resting too much!!
so have not had time to post anything but have missed you all!
anyways thought I would show you all my design team sample
cards using the fab new CD, Stamps, Stickers and design sheets
from Katy Sue Designs. They are being showcased this week on none
other than the Create and Craft Channel as their "Pick of the Week"
so tune in and have a little looksie. Some of the designs are just
amazing, you can even use the stickers on vases, mirrors etc;
These I have to say, have been my favourite products so far; talk
about being away with the fairies on this little lot of cards....
...oooh I had sooo much fun......... well here are my cards, you
can judge for yourselves!

I made a concertina box from a tri-fold aperture card and then
added the backing papers to card for the back drop.

This is a side view, I used eyelets top and bottom and then florist
wire to attach those cute little fairies onto the inside. By pushing
the wire back and forth it gave the effect of them dancing by the
moon, oh well did I have lots of fun with this one!!

The outer edge flowers and trees are all from the stickers pack.
The beautiful moon backdrop is from the CD and the dancing
fairies were created with rubber stamps onto black card and
decorated with Stickles, Crystal.

This little beauty has also been stamped with Impress Silver
embossing ink and then heat embossed with Stamp n Stuff -
Kaleidoscope, I also stamped her wing again onto acetate and
heat embossed to set, cut a little slice to fit the wing into, ooooh
how fabby doo does that look? I cut out the leaves and petals
from an old pad from K & Co pink recycled paper, made from
my own template. I did add some gorgeous flowersoft for the
centre pollen, but after I took the piccie!

Here is a little close up of that wing, I then added the little damsel
fly punched from silver mirri card and added Stickles Crystal for
glistening effect and a little pink plastic gem to represent a
droplet of water.

This fairy is from one of the Sticker sheets, so you can see that
the stamps and stickers are all co-ordinated. Stuck onto black
card for extra body, crescent moon cut from own template on
black and silver glitter card. Punch used for stars and dragon
flies. The Dream is from the Sticker pack but again comes as
a stamp too. Little silver organza ribbon to finish.

This one is from the Lunar Landscape sheets and also the
CD, I have decoupaged the fairies to make them stand out.
Sentiment is also from the LL sheets. This emerald green
really does stand out from the crowd.

Ooooh this was my favourite, I used a gate fold card and shaped
the top to form doors. Eyelets used for ribbons and tied together
Those gorgeous trees are stickers; aren't they fab? The fairies
have been stamped using the same process as the Pink Lilly card.
Can you see the little notice? It says " You have to believe to Enter
the Enchanted Wood" this was done using the PC. The believe at
the top again using the co-ordinating stamp set, stamped onto
green shrink plastic with Black Staz On.

Inside the enchanted wood is an array of stickers and background
papers from the CD, the fairies are stickers which I have placed
again onto black card for support, I have added a diamante stone
in the centre of the star and also used a new Flower Soft product
called Glitter Frosting, it is like little snowflakes of irredescent
hues of green and violet. The tree in the centre is also from the
sticker pack.

Next on the list is this centre step card. These papers were
from the CD again, they have co-ordinated them with quite
a few of the spellbinders dies so the shapes come out printed
ready for you to either cut with scissors or to use you spellbinders
dies. I love this colour. The flowers I have punched and used
black flower soft in the centres. These fairies are already printed
onto the backing papers, the CD has either plain backing sheets
or pre printed with fairies and trees.

And finally this little easel card, the Birthday wishes has been
stamped onto the backing papers and cut out.. I have also
decoupaged the fairies and tree to give them some depth.
These were tiny but the effect if so good. Lots of Stickles too
to make them all sparkle.
Well I hope you enjoyed your little journey into fairy land, I
certainly loved making these beautiful cards. If you would
like any info on any of my cardmaking techniques just drop
me an email or if you would like any info on these gorgeous
products you will find them all here.

Love is in the Air!

It certainly is for all you romantics out there! that includes me; :0)
I can't stop singing that song either. Well here is hubby's card,
thought this little stamp, which was a freebie in the Craft Stamper
Mag for February would make a lovely bunch of balloons. I printed
the words onto card from the PC then stamped over each one and
painted them with water colours.
Well over on the Simon Says Stamp blog their challenge this week is aptly
called "Love is In the Air! and they ask you to use some Prima
products too if you have any, I could not resist these beautiful
Prima papers from their Sweet Fairy collection. I have cut out
the tag and these beautiful words from a different sheet from the
same pad, it reads, "My sweet love so precious and true, how you
flutter about in my heart making magic everlasting and sprinkling
sugar on my world" now how could I resist putting that on there,
gush gush hee hee. If you want to play along hop on over as they
are giving away a $50.00 gift voucher to spend in their fabby shop.

Here is a little close up of those balloons and also that

tag with the sentiment.

and they called it Poppy Luuuuuuuuuve

hee hee, hello blogland, do you remember that song by the
gorgeous Donny Osmond? ooooh well, he was my first love
don't you know! :0) I remember watching him on TOTP
daydreaming, watching him in his white flat cap knitted hat
walking through the park, aaahhhhh, does anyone else
remember that video? think that was the first single I ever
bought too! Oops showing my age now!!
Well I thought that title was pretty apt as I was asked to do
a Valentines card for my friends young son whose girlfriend
is called?....... yes you guessed it, Poppy! so thought I would
use these beautiful flowers from the Floral Cd over at
Katy Sue Designs, and make a heart shape from them.
I have also used their beautiful Ultra fine flower soft in
Black to accent the centre of the flowers, it really does
bring these flowers to life. I made a sort of triangle shaped
card??? don't ask me how it turned out that way but the
fold went a bit wrong and well, I think it is right???

Here it is from another angle, sentiment was done on PC
and the backing papers are also from the same CD.

and here it is flat, I cut out each poppy and layered them then
used some card at the back just to strengthen the flowers that
are away from the card.
Well I will leave you young ones to google that song and
hopefully happy memories for us....well....a bit olderies!

WOYWW

Hello lovely bloggers, happy Wednesday, here is my desk today,
bit of a mess as I have been making a new home card, a good luck
with your operation! and a Valentines card, I also have some
new goodies on there too! Hooray! One of my old favourite
border punches broke :0( ... it is the second one as they are a
tad fragile, any paper thicker than photocopy paper and it
creaks!!! oooh eek! anyway you know when you get a lovely
piece of thick paper and you think, shall I chance it? and you
do, then you regret it! well, that's exactly what happened!
The lever snapped, I tried to magic it back on by placing the
handle back where it belonged, that didn't work, I stared and
glared at it, that didn't work either! so, there was no other
option but to go searching for a replacement only to
find that ebay wanted a ridiculous price plus ridiculous
postage I thought "No Way Jose! they seem to be pretty
rare now, it's the Fiskars one to the right of the picture, can
you see it's sorry state?
So on my 3 hour journey through cyber space I came across
this little beauty by none other than MS, it is just the ticket,
so pretty and you get to keep the little hearts that punch
out too, I also found a brand new (to me anyway) craft store
that stocks goodies galore, and also wrap it up all nicely
with tissue paper with my very own label, what a delight!

I also got myself some paper stacks as well, because, well,
I, errrr.......liked the patterns!
One is Prima Melody and the other Websters pages, Spring
Market/Yacht Club & Country Estate, they even sound
wonderful don't you think :0) Happy Days, Happy WOYWW
and of course Happy Crafting, TFL, Sue xx

Butterfly Die Cuts

Hello lovely bloggers, a very happy chilly Monday to you all,
here are my cards that I designed for Katy Sue Designs which
were showcased last Monday on the Create and Craft channel,
whoo hoo, did you see it? it was on at 9.00 am then again at
2.00 pm, the latter one with the the lovely Noreen and that
crazy coot Dean Wilson, he is soooooo funny, think he has to
be my favourite presenter, he really makes me laugh, he had
poor Noreen in a fluster! here she is holding my tri-fold card

I took a piccie of my card on the telly hee hee, hubby was
saying your famous your famous, hee hee, how funny; I
still had to cook dinner though! huh so much for fame- it
didn't last long.

The butterflies are so delicate, for the front of the card I used one
of the oblong die cut shapes, on the second fold I hung the die cut
circle with invisible thread and finished with a bow, the third fold
I used the lily backing paper from the Floral Designs CD;
all of these sentiments are from the Floral Design clear
stamp set, all of these beautiful items are available here

Here you can see how beautiful these butterflies really
are, they are all die cut to pop out from the oval, beautiful
colours and sooooo pretty, add a bit of sparkle too and they
come to life. I used my MS border punch here and cut out
the hearts to form this beautiful frame.

Again using the oval die cut, backing papers and flowers from
floral design CD, stamps used are again clear Flora Design
Sentiments, over sized ribbon from stash.

90 Years Young!

Hello lovely bloggers on this bright and brisk Friday, it's a
beautiful day out there! Thought I'd show you the finished
90th card I was making, the person collected it last night so
the photos are a bit grainy, I was faffing around with it as you
do and before I knew it time ran away with me and 15 mins
before he arrived I was still gluing things! eek!

Thought I would make an easel card as I wanted to put lots
of embellishments around this lovely photo of the lady in
question, as I mentioned before, she used to work for
Wedgewood so I used these lovely papers from Papermania.

Little close up, the 90 was embossed with Mirror Gold
embossing powder, although it started out as white
embossing enamel I overheated it and burnt the
edges! so ended up with this colour, hee hee. All sentiments
were created on the PC and distressed with TH vintage
photo apart from the Remember which is Inkadinkado,
Life's Journey, butterflies and border punches are MS although
the photo frame was cut with scissors, the edges were
then finished off with some liquid pearls in White Opal.
Hope she likes it, TFL, Sue xx

Candy.........

........for the eye! ( and a little prize for the best Quote!)Hee hee,
Thought I would give you all a treat to brighten up this
dreary rainy January day! Hope you like my choice of
sunshine for this day, the handsome Ryan Gosling :0))))
He will be appearing on my sidebar, move over Brad
and George, any suggestions as to what he might be saying
to us crafters? the best one will be printed as the heading!
I think he could be saying....
"Let's go Craft Shopping, I love it when you spend all my
money!" mmmwhaaaa
or
*Wow, You always look so gorgeous
when you are covered in ink and glue"
A girl can dream, it's free! Happy Days, TFL, Sue xx

WOYWW

Hello lovely bloggers, I hope you are all fine and dandy;
It's that time of the week again :0), at least I have time to
post my desk on the right day this week! As you
can see, it is and has been a very productive desk and
still the conveyor belt of all things creative is happily
in motion :0)xx If you want to have a little looksie
at all things creative on a larger scale then hop on
over to our leaders blog Stamping Ground
where you will find every possible nook, cranny and
item of crafting that this universe has to offer, oozing
from our lovely crafting buddies desks! So, firstly I
am in the middle of creating a 90th Birthday card
with these lovely Papermania papers, as the lady in question
used to work for Wedgewood, I thought these lovely chalky
blue and white papers would work perfectly! next on the
desk is a half made "New Home" card I am making for a
friend. In the background is-shhhhhh, I have to whisper
this...new stamps :)))))))) Portobello Road gorgeous images,
which I am sure will get inked to within an inch of their
lives, I also have two new pads, I really do need more papers!!!
Cough! one pack is Wild Rose Studio, Letters from Paris
(will come in handy for Valentine cards) and also by WRS
faded florals, (which will errr......just come in handy)! :0)))
Now, over to the right is one of my Christening boxes that
I make, all nicely finished and ready to be delivered, I can't
take credit for the beautiful Calligraphy, I have a very nice
man who waves his magical Mont Blanc Wand and
produces this wonderful writing :0) xx TFL, Happy
Crafting one and all, Sue xx
