Here are two of the beautiful dresses to be found on the Fabulous Fashion CD from Katy Sue Designs

Good morning lovely bloggers, a happy Sunny Saturday to you all :0))did you manage to catch the Show? Well if you didn't because you thought oh it will be on all week!.....I know lots of you were disappointed! the Fabulous Fashion CD launch from Katy Sue Designs was pick of the week and
only lasted for 3 days!! it sold out completely!.... and the lovely Noreen doing her wonderful demo's had to come home early!  You will be pleased to know that they are now back in stock and you can
get yours here.  I think the stamps have now sold out too though, so you might have to wait a while
for those......I did tell you how fabby doo this CD was! here are the rest of my card design samples,
I hope you like them and are inspired :0)) xx
Beautiful Regency Stripe backing papers,
decoupaged the dress and used two of their die cut cards to make the dressing room mirror,  adding
a set of hanging pearls :0)xx
Little close up of this beautiful dress!
Decoupage the dress with matching hat and bag either side, heart border punch from Martha Stewart.
Little close up of this beauty too!
and another.....
This bag from the CD was decoupaged I thought I would use this as a vase, I stamped and coloured
these beautiful daisies and leaves from the FF Daisy stamp collection and arranged them in the bag.
The tall card was made using two of the Katy Sue Die Cut cards. The sentiment stamp is from the same
collection, stamped with Fushia Pink StazOn.
How fab are these bags??? the template is on this CD and is so easy to make.  The gorgeous backing
paper are also on the CD, so many beautiful different designs and so versatile.  The paper scarf is just a
sheet of  backing paper which I have twisted and glued to arrange in this chic way! The gold buckle and
handle are made from Peel Off stickers.  The Red White and Blue bag is finished off with  Sizzix Flower Die
and attached with Red Ruby brad and I also covered a button with the backing papers.

Here's a close up of those gorgeous bags!  I am sure all you talented crafters out there can
think of a million different ways you could decorate these! :0)))))
These fabulous bags taken from each of the stamp collections, coloured with my Pro Markers, how Totally
Fabulously, Gorgeous! :0))  with a little bit of backing  paper for this  FABULOUS scarf! Set on another
Regency~Stripe backing paper~I used the additional stamp embellies to make up the coat stand and distressed
with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo! xx.....
..... also made this beautiful dress stamp, daisies and leaves I stamped using Memento "London Fog" to get
the soft grey effect and used my water colour paints and mixed up a soft grey tone to just highlight
certain areas. Glitter Frosting  and sparkle, Marianne Die, and Die cut Cards from Katy Sue Designs for this Wedding Day Card.
....and finally..
...full length version of my sneek peek card, this piccie has not come out so well but this was
my favourite dress, I just love the Dusky Pink colours, the card design is another template from
the CD.  Thanks for looking.  Happy Crafting, Sue xx

Happy Sunny Wednesday

Hello lovely bloggers, how are you all on this glorious day?  Well I just thought I would post
some of my latest creations, happenings and doings :0)))) firstly I have these two Wedding
Cards to show you the first one was for my friends Sons Wedding that she commissioned me
to do........................
The Dove punch is Martha Stewart, the lovely Olive twigs come with this and I have punched more so I could make the heart shape with them.  I have used my Sizzix Die Cutting machine (Big Shot)
to cut the heart dies from the silver foil card.  The Mr & Mrs tag I made using my sewing maching to attach the card and then used the wired stem of a paper rose for the hanging.  Lace and Ribbon from stash.  The sentiment was done on my PC with added gems and backed with Silver foil card.
Here's a little close up :0)
..... this is the one I made from us.  I  have covered the whole card with these white paper petals that I have had forever, I can't remember where they came from now but I also have them in Pink!  I have tried to arrange them into hearts and glued them on.
Here's a little close up, I have added two punched hearts and the words Love, Loyalty, Laughter,
Happy Ever After!  which I tucked into the petals, these were made using my PC.  Two roses were added and a cream ribbon
The are the beautiful flowers from the Wedding, they were just gorgeous and the lovely strong scent from them was just amazing!  Can you see the L O V E on the top table! how cool does that look and all those lovely little jam jars were decorated by the bride herself! xx
Now, this card I made for my friends 40th, she did tell me what she would like on the card: the brief was, "I love Giraffe's"!!!!...... can I have one, with a butterfly on it's nose looking boss eyed! so this was my end result.  I hand drew the giraffe and cut out a template, then used some snake skin effect paper,(I
think this came from the Works)! I cut the markingsfrom brown card and used black card for the eyes and ears, added some google eyes and a pink bow!
The biggest Cream Slice in the World! YUM!! My own creation, this was the cake I made her when she came over.......this recipe just happened! as they do when you are feeling a tad creative!  I used ready made puff pastry, which I rolled out to the size of the baking tray and cooked for about 15-20 mins or until it is really light and fluffy and has risen!  Once it has cooled I spread a layer of Strawberry Jam, then whisked some double cream which I added some Vanilla extract to and then spread that on top.  You can add fresh Strawberries too......mmmmmmmmmm.... then the top layer of pastry which I have covered in icing sugar, just mixed with water.........................delicious :0))) xx
Now why we are on the subject of Creations, this was hubbies idea of jet washing the patio!!!!
ahhhh how could I not love this? xx  I don't want to wash it off now.
Now I know your thinking, "just seen that card"? well look again, it's a slight variation of the previous one, a neighbour saw the one I had made and commissioned one for her Niece's wedding!  All I
did differently was change the font and added purple backing card to all of the words.
.....and a bit of glitter on the roses :0)) xx
Now finally, these two cards, the first one is for my friend Dawn, who like me is mad about cats, this little Penny Black image is just soooo adorable, can you see I have added some Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Orange Blossom to emphasis his fur, I think it makes him look even fluffier! ha ha.  The backing papers are from an old pad DCWV called Garden Party, I am still reluctant to use these as they are just beautiful! The sentiment (No Outfit) stamp is from Hobby Art and the (It's your day) is from the new
set from Katy Sue Designs called Simpler Times designed by Elisabeth Bell.  I wrote her name on the little mug to personalise it.

Here's a little close up of that flower soft.
.........are you still here? ha ha and finally finally this little card I made for my Niece who was one
on Saturday, this is my first LOTV stamp and I only purchased it last week!!! shock horror!!! where have I been hiding, it is so adorable and I  just loved colouring this one too, which I did with my
water colour paints as with the Penny black one.  I love how all these pastel colours have merged
to make it lovely and soft.  The  frame and letters have been done using my Big Shot, don't you just love that machine?!!!.............
......backing papers are not out yet they are from a new Katy Sue Designs CD which will be launched on the Create and Craft channel W/C 17th May and it's going to be Pick of the Week, so make sure you tune in. :0)) They are just gorgeous.
Thanks for looking, have a happy Wednesday, Happy Crafting, Sue xx

...fingers crossed, hopefully...hee hee we are in for a lovely Summer
this year, we have waited long enough, don't you think?
So onto my post.  I have had the privilege to design some cards for Katy Sue Designs
with sets of gorgeous stamps to complement yet another fantastic CD! and guess who the designer
is on this one?.....none other than Elizabeth Bell!! whoooohooo, how cool is that?.  This CD has so
many lovely elements to it and the cutest of images, if you know Elizabeth's work, you will know what a treat you are in for if you buy these lovely products, the title of the CD is called Simpler Times, its full of decoupage sheets, toppers, digi images, and just the most beautiful backing papers too! and lots lots more.  They really are the most delightful
images to work with.  Here are just a few of my cards........

This decoupage image is just adorable! xx
So many different birthday cards from this one I can think of, men and boys cards
are really difficult to design, this definately makes it a lot easier!.......

Theatre Cards......

Hello lovely bloggers, yet another fabulous creation from those busy crafters and creators over
at Katy Sue Designs......this time a Wonderful CD called Theatre Cards and it's being showcased
over on the Create and Craft Channel today!  The lovely Noreen will be doing her bit showing
you all the fabulous cards you can make with this new CD.  It really is quite different from any
other card your friends would have seen or received.
Here are a few of my creations to show just how amazing they really are.....

This one is called Babbling Brook, the artwork is so beautiful, I have used flower soft to give
the effect of moss on the stones and also on some of the beautiful flowers in the forefront.

When these cards are made up there are eight sides to them with the centre with 3d elements and all with gorgeous pictures, it really is unique.
This one is called Fairy Door, oooh think this one is my favourite, can you see the little door at
the base of the tree.  I have added these little Fairies which are background stickers also from
Katy Sue, they also have these as stamps too.  Just Magical!

Again I have added Flower Soft from the Ultra Fine range in Sage for the moss effect on the
stones.
Finally.... this little Cottage, which I have named Lavender Cottage and made it into a little wall hanging.  Take a look deep inside and dream..........ahhhhh
Right! back to reality and back to card making.....I am doing some Wedding Invitations at the moment which are totally bling!!! Glitter card, Pink Feather and the most gorgeous Diamante Embellishment!! I will post them when I have finished. Thanks for looking and happy Crafting, Sue xx

My New(ish) Creations........Box Frames

Hello lovely crafty bloggers and very happy, chilly, chilled :0) (sounds better) Saturday to
you all.  Thought I would share some of my latest creations with you.  I started a few years
back making Christening and Wedding Keepsake boxes for a local Shop and also put them
on my little Website here: http://rosesandribbons.com/Gifts.html  :0) it has now progressed to
Butterfly Art, here are a few piccies of my creations...............
They have been completely made up using only punched butterflies of different sizes and of
course different types of card and papers for shading effect.....

I am really pleased with my Union Jack one :0) xx

I spent ages on this one just moving them all around until I was happy with the Design.

Here is another option, this was for a ladies 70th, the theme was February's flowers of Viola and
the stone Amethyst, which I have incorporated into the bodies of the butterflies.  The flowers and
backing papers are from the Floral Designs CD from Katy Sue Designs

I hope you like them and they have inspired you to try some Butterfly Art, Thanks for looking,
Sue xx
