Here are the pictures of our day in and around London for
yesterday's Marathon. It is the last year that Flora will be
sponsoring it! Next year 2010 it will be sponsored by Virgin,

It really was a fab day, very humbling, very inspiring and
also uplifting.......and Sunny...

You could see men in Pink tights!........

.......and in Green Tights!
Well Done Barry!

A Womble!! I wondered what had happened to them?

The Finish in sight!!
Making our way back to the car........

Through Green Park ........

and through the trees...........

Buckingham Palace.....the flag is flying which means the Queen
is in residence.....didn't have time to stop for tea though!!!!

Statue of Queen Victoria looking down The Mall
Big Ben taken from Buckingham Palace, the Queen just has to
look out of her window to see what time it is!!
Wandering through this little back street we found these
little gems.................
Sir Francis Chichester sailed around the world single
handedly in the Gypsy Moth, I remember when I
was about 10 my dad taking me to see this boat over
at Greenwich and the boat seemed tiny to me even
at that age! I don't know if it is still sited there or not?

This little Hairdresser's and Perfumery called
Truefitt is by Royal Appointment to HRH the
Duke of Edinburgh, it is also in the guiness book of
records as being the oldest!

WOW this looks like a great day out, I watched it on Telly. It looks amazing to be there. I miss the rush of London. Believe it or not I lived there when I was a Midwife for a few months. Came back up to Scotland to work in a local hospital though and now regret it. Hey ho!!! Thanks for sharing the day Hazelxo
