A New Concept in Card Making...
Hello to all you lovely crafters out there a Happy
Sunny Sunday to you all, I hope you are well!
Thought I would show you my new design in the
card making world, I haven't seen this done before!
It all started when I was asked to do an anniversary
card for my friends husband, they were celebrating
13 years of marriage and were going on a trip on
the Orient Express!
So I Googled Orient Express and thought that these
papers and colours matched some of the upholstery
on the one of the carriages on the train!
Then her husband also asked me to do an Anniversary
card for her!!! so thought I would do a matching pair
(as they would be opening them together whilst away,)
that when put together completed the picture...get
my drift?...So this is the other one...
... this is both of them.....
...and when they come together......they look like this....
What do you think?
My friend said that when she was opening her card
she thought he had given her his one!!
Hee hee, how funny is that?
Papers are from K & Co, punches MS deep edge
scroll heart border punch and Large Vintage Dove
and Olive Branch. Happy Anniversary stamp by
Inca, Husband and Wife stamp by Hobby Art all
stamped and heat embossed with PSX Old Gold
embossing Tinsel, ribbon and flowers from stash.
Thanks for looking, I hope you are inspired,

WOYWW.....
.....Ruby Slippers;
(Ruby Slippers before glitter....drawn and coloured
a with a red felt pen)
Hello to all you lovely creative
bloggers out there; The reason for this little
Thank you card being on my WOYWW is because
I spent a couple of days with my friend, we had two
lovely days in London, taking in the sights and also
going to the London Palladium where this production
is showing.
What a Wonderful Wizardly production it is too;
I would highly recommend it!
The following day we visited the site of the 2012 Olympics
in Stratford, a place not far from where I grew up and
which I worked in and around for 22 years! My very first job
was in Stratford in a little office fresh from secretarial
college and where I stayed for 11 years, I really do
have fond memories. It brought a lump to my throat
to see all the changes and developments which are
taking place there, it is mind blowing to see
the transformation; I would never in a million
years or in my wildest dreams, thought
that this would ever happen here!!!
Well I think it just goes to show that anything is
possible! Don't you?
A Sign of the Times! (View Tube)
The main Olympic Stadium......
This piece of helter skelter art? Or Orbital Tower
will be used as a viewing point and is costing no
less than 19million pounds! blimey, (What recession?)
here is a link to your 2012 Olympic Guide
Aquatics Centre!
Ye Olde Stratford Bus Station!
Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford City!
the week before the opening; A long long way away
from The Mall Shopping Centre where I used to
lunch many moons ago! There was no Tiffany's
store to browse, that's for sure! hee hee
On the second day we headed up town again to
visit the National Portrait Gallery they had the
BP awards, Wow, the standard of work was truly
amazing;
Then on to Giraffe to meet up with friends for dinner
and cocktails!
and for those of you who (like me) Love, love, love
London here is my little collection
of piccies along the way:-
The Wonderful St Paul's Cathedral
and this fabulous stained glass design has given
me inspiration for colours on a card!
The Writings On the Wall!
The famous lions at Trafalgar Square................

And something we all rely on to get our cards

Everything is beautiful at the Ballet...
Hello lovely bloggers, hope you are all fine and dandy on
this supposedly rainy day!!! errr not!
Here is my finished card for my beautiful German
Student Rosalie, ballet shoes were decoupaged
pink papers and ribbon from stash, distressed sides
and inked with TH antique linen, stickler sparkle
around all the edges, for her name I used doodlebug
rub-ons.
Here's the inside, just smaller ballet shoes to continue
the theme.
and finally the little flap of paper unfolds so I can write
a nice long letter! Single rose bud at the top (as her name
is Rosie)! with a touch of tulle underneath.
Thanks for looking, have a fan dabby dosey weekend,
Happy Crafting, Sue xx
