"Tropical Tilda"!

Ooh don't you just want to be there???

Aloha to all you lovely crafters, Happy Thursday, I hope you are
all well and busy in your craft rooms. I have made this little Tilda
(Hawaiian) for the Just Magnolia Challenge which asks for a
different shape card. Well this one was going to be a Palm Tree
shape! then it was Z shaped! then Arch shaped! now when it's
laid out it looks like a Pineapple!!Lol quite appropriate though
don't you think? Well I'll let you all decide which shape you
think it is! I have done a little photo step by step guide to show
how it came together, I am really jealous of Tilda as I want
to be in that card!!!..........

First scored an A4 sheet of green card
I had in my mind that I wanted the palm tree leaves to be part
of the card and fall forward, so roughly drew them on a scrap
piece of card first and then onto top front of green card and
cut out.

All the papers for this card are from BG Lime Rickey and
Marrakech, I think they are wonderful the way they all blend
so well, the sunset and the reflection in the blue sea.

I have placed white and yellow for the wash of waves against
the sand. You can also see my little Tilda after I had cut her out!!
Not easy, it was late and I thought any minute I am going to
have an involuntary jerk and snip something off that I don't
want to!!!ha ha!! thankfully she is all intact!! You can see the little
heart I have punched out and stuck on the back, as the card was
getting heavier it needed support to stand, so the back flap just
tucks under the heart.

Pineapple Shape!!! Back view.
Green Limes have been cut out from papers, Sun is a punched
circle. Tilda has been coloured with my Le Plume II pens,
sentiment is a rub on from doodlebug. TFL Sue xx

Black and White Circles!

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday to you all! Well it's not
very nice here today, plus there has been a chemical spillage
not far from here and they have advised us to stay inside!!!
Yippee I say......what a bonus....what with the footie tonight,
looks like I'm set to be in crafting heaven all day!!!!
So this little card I have made for the
Daisy and Dandelion Challenge...you know the one....that
chameleon bear I have!! ha ha..well the challenge this week
is circles...as many as you like...they do come up with some
fab ideas over there!!
Just so you can see that lovely heart at the top!

and the other one at the bottom!
Well this was really easy, I love how this evolved, as I was
just going to use the bear on one punched circle and put it
directly onto the card! I then decided to punch out the same
large circle from the card and add some extra smaller
circles in black and white with added stamp hearts and
sentiment and of course, some bling, then place some on
the inside and some on the outside!!
I have just lightly water coloured Squeak with a hint
of black and grey, other images have been stamped with
staz on. Heart stamps are a set of four from Hero Arts and
the sentiment is from PM. TFL Sue xx

cards to this worthwhile cause.
So, for this card I have coloured one of Dustin's fab images with my
pencils, the papers are from BG Lime rickey range, the green I
have cut and rolled back to reveal the image underneath, the
sentiment I printed onto the yellow paper and then hand drew
the banana around it and cut out! I then water coloured the Black
and green shading. I punched eyelets for the string to look like the
vines and added this beautiful yellow flower from stash. TFL Sue xx

"The Owl and the Pussycat"!!

Made for an Anniversary
....And they danced by the light of the moon....
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are, You are, You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'
Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl!
How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?'
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows,
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood,
With a ring at the end of his nose, His nose, His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.
'Dear pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?' Said the Piggy, 'I will.
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon, The moon, The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.
Oh I just love this poem by Edward Lear so I have made this
card for friends as an Anniversary card, here is my little step
by step guide:-

Firstly stamped my cat and owl, coloured with pencils and cut
out.

The boat I drew freehand and cut out from card to keep as
a template.

I then drew around it onto my lovely pea green paper from
BG Lime Rickey and drew panels in.
I then coloured it in with brown pencils to define the wood.
As you can see here the stamps in the background, the owl is
a PB Christmas one, so I just inked it without the
hat!tee hee, I do have the secret garden set but the owls were
too small! The cat stamp is from 'Ink it'. I have punched out a
circle for the moon in beautiful gold mirri card and freehand
cut it to shape a half moon and also punched the lovely stars,
I have also added some panels to the front of the boat to give
it a nice moonlight shine!
Here I have arranged the rest of the papers which are from
BG Lime Rickey and Marrakesh. I have also printed the
sentiment across the green paper using the computer.
Hope you like it! Thanks for looking Sue xx

"Purple & Red Tilda"!

Little close up on that Ruby Red Butterfly!!

Who would have put those two colours together??? Me, ha ha!
This is my take on this weeks Sketch by Naoual over on the
Just Magnolia Challenge, what a fab sketch too!! I am trying to
enter every week on this one if I can, I think it's just fab!!
So today I have coloured my little shabby chic Tilda (think in
this outfit she should be called eccentric Tilda)!! in Purple and
Red using my Le Plume II pens. I have edged the
outside with Tim Holtz frayed burlap and antique linen. Paper
are these lush MME 29th Street Market called Carefree
"Graceful" Elegant Print/Poised Purple paper!! Got all that???
Punched flowers, leaves, hearts and butterfly. Sentiment stamp
is Personal Impressions which I have stamped with Memories
Ink pad in Port Red. Lace from stash. Think that's everything!
Happy Crafting Tuesday to you all! TFL Sue xx

"Things I Forget to Remember"!!!

Ha ha ha, which is just about everything!!Lol, So the challenge
this week over at Daisy & Dandelion is to create anything other
than a card!! Well, I bought this little brown book from Paperchase
a while back and it's just been sitting there looking all brown and
boring!! So, thought I would customise it a bit (understatement)
and put the lovely Bubbles on the front, (don't think I've told you
this week, anyway)!! how fab and versatile these little bears are!!
Lol. So as you can see, just by adding some fab coloured ribbons,
paper to front and back (from PM Regency pack) and some lush
fabric swatches what a transformation you can make!! Little
Bubbles I have coloured with my water colours and punched a
little heart which says "Don't Forget", just another little gentle
reminder, also added two buttons from stash.

Close up of that little bear telling me not to forget!!!

Plain boring brown book!!!
Add multi coloured ribbons and fabric to side binders.

Back of book covered again with paper from PM Regency pad.
I hope you like it and it inspires you, TFL, Happy Crafting Sue xx

"Beautiful Butterflies"!

Butterflies painted with Twinkling H20's

This card I have made for two challenges. Whooo, Friday Sketchers
which has a fab sketch by Claudia, very different and also this great
colour combo from Kim over at Colour Create Challenge. So for this
card I have used my two butterfly stamps, the large one is from
Inkadinkadoo and the smaller from Inca. I have coloured them
both using my Twinkling H20's, I don't know if you can see the
beautiful shimmer these paints create? Punched border is again
my Fiskas, paper from BG. Shimmer card, blue and ecru are from
my local craft shop. Flowers, pearls and ribbons from stash.

"Make a Wish"!

Hello and happy Friday everyone, where did that week go??
I wanted to show you this little card I have made with one of
Dustin Pikes digi images, I was able to choose three
freebies after wining the Digital Tuesday Challenge, how fab.
Please check out his site, he has some really fab and funny
images plus he gives away one free every Wednesday!!
So this little image is called Fairy 2, I have coloured her
with my water colours (do you like her little heart cheeks I
painted on)? and then used pencils to shade around
the outside, nothing fancy, just your basic colouring pencils,
which seemed to have come out ok!! Don't know if you can see
but I have also added some sparkles on her tutu and wand just
to add a little magic. Papers are from PM sweet nothings,
flowers are Prima, ribbon from stash. Sentiment computer
generated. This is such a simple card but don't you think she
is a little cutie pie?? TFL Happy Crafting Sue xx

"Crowning Glory"!!

Hello and happy Thursday to all you lovely Crafter's. Well last
night's episode of Coronation Street has got to be one of the best!!!
Did you see it?? I am still laughing. Wonderful Norris doing his
Zippy from Rainbow impersonation, whilst Mary from the Dairy
was trying to seduce him!!! With her culinary skills, Sheena
Easton 9-5 track playing in the background and telling him that
she wears nothing but Tweed by Lentheric........................

(do you remember that)?? in bed!!!..... How could a man resist!!!
Ha ha ha ha talk about Lol!!, and if that wasn't enough, to Norris'
horror she finished by announcing that she gets to sleep stroking
her Moo Moo, Oh how funny!!!! It's her cuddly toy Monkey of
course!! It was definitely Corrie at it's best!! It's the only
soap I watch, it's totally inoffensive, light hearted and right
up my street!!!
No card today, as I'm out and about, have a great day, Sue xx

"Ooh It's that Bear Again"!!

Anyway as I was saying, I just love this little bear, he is so
adorable and versatile!! what more could you want from a
rubber stamp!!Lol!... So this is my take on the fab sketch by
Clare over at Daisy and Dandelion this week, thought I'd
make a pink one again but colour him brown today. The papers
are from the PM Regency pack, ribbon, flowers, embellies and
lace from stash, Happy Birthday sentiment is from Hobby
Art, Surrey. TFL Sue xx

"The Cat's Whisker's"!

Hello again, another post from yesterday!!!Lol...This little card
I have made for my beautiful niece who is just about to start her
GCSE exams!!! Good Luck Nic xx.........This also fits in with the
Penny Black challenge this week which is to use black, white and
one other colour!! think I am having a bit of an orange phase at
the moment. This is another of the lovely PB stamps which were
sent to me, which I have coloured with my water colours. Papers
are from BG Archaic and the stripe is from my local craft shop,
no name on it! flowers and ribbon from stash, sentiment I have
made up and computer generated. TFL Happy Crafting Sue xx

"Extended Lunch Break"!!

Hello and happy Tuesday to all you lovely crafter's. Ha ha,
Well, I didn't get much posting done yesterday did I??
My friend phoned who I haven't spoken to for ages and the
next thing I know hubby is home wanting his dinner!!!Lol....
I did manage to catch up with some blog hopping though.
So here is the rest of yesterday's posting, as I announced on
my previous post...Brace Yourselves!!!.............
I have made another one of those Note Holder's, this time using a
lovely PB image that was sent to me! Well I think this is the
funniest image! I was late sending a card to my friend for her
birthday (are all card makers like this)? so I made her this little
gift too, she like me, is an avid cat lover!! I've only known her
for 20 years!!! so you would think I would know her birthday
off by heart!!
This can be so versatile!! It could be made up with any image
to suit and you can also attach any little sentiment to it! I think
it would be ideal for children's bedrooms!!

This one I made earlier!!Lol!, do you remember that big brown
ugly peg!!! urrrr well I found this fab paint and hey presto!!!
shabby chic peg!!! Much nicer don't you think?

As you can see here just by sanding with an old emery board
or a piece of sand paper you get a nice distressed look. I have
marked the centre back of the board (which I have covered
with some new papers from PM call Regency, they are just
divine!! for the front I have used BG Bitter Sweet), I then
scored the paper before I glued the peg to ensure a firm
fix to the board underneath and not the papers.

For the tag I stamped my circle sentiment from PM onto my
punched flower shape twice, just by slightly turning it, it
made the circle complete and gave a nice 3d effect.

So finally I wrote a little note which I stamped with the cat stamp
(Which was also on her Birthday card) and cut out part of the tail
Tucked it under and placed it into a box with tissue paper. Just
to let you know this is A5 in size. Phew.. All ribbons lace and
flowers from stash. Think that's everything! TFL Sue xx I have
just seen the ABC Challenge this week which is N for Not a Card,
well this little note holder fits the bill just nicely so think I will
enter it! Sue xx
