"As I Lay Me Down to Sleep"

Made this little card yesterday to coincide with the Colour
Create Challenge this week, which is to use the colours
Brown, Green and Orange, with the added option of making
a card for a man!! Well, we all know how hard it is to find
flowery, chintzy material which we all love to suit a man's card!
Not going to happen! So we either buy one with a joke on it or
we make one which we don't like!! Not good! So thinking out
of the box, thought I would make one for a little man ahhhh!
This little image is a free digi download from a fab blog who's
owner is Dustin Pike he has drawn some fabulous images which
he sells on Etsy, but every Wednesday he offers a freebie!!!
How fab is that!! I have coloured the image with water colour
pencils and palette, the papers are from BG Lime Rickey. The
sentiment stamp has it's first outing although I have had it
for about five years!!! found it after my craft room clear out!!
It is from Rubber Stampede. Lace and ribbons from stash.

The Great Escape!

I just had to share these piccies with you.
On Sunday before we left for London we spotted this huge rabbit
running around our garden? It had burrowed its way under the
fence from the house directly behind us. So we informed them to
which she duly came round armed with a cat box to put him/her
in, to take back. Well, she had to capture it first! I have never seen
a rabbit run so fast!! with it's owner chasing it!! it was so funny.
Then today I was doing the garden and who should pop his head
under but next doors dog Benji!! What a little cutie he is! so I had
to go and get my camera again a take a picture! Don't know what
the attraction is in my garden, but it seems it's the place to be???

Blue Bubbles for a Boy!

Ooh just coloured Bubbles Blue! He's not sad!
How versatile are these stamps?? I don't think there is a stamp
that I have used so much!! I know I keep going on about them
and no I don't have shares! but they just are!
Here is my take on this weeks sketch over at D & D Challenge
Why not pop over there and join in the fun! So, as I said this
little bear with the flower is called Bubbles and I have coloured
him with my Tim Holtz vintage photo and used water colour
pencils for the Blue on his pads. The blue and white stripe
paper is from Lasting Impressions, buttons, lace, ribbon and
charms are all from stash. I am sure I saw a challenge that
wanted you to use a charm on your card??? when I find it
again I will add it to that too!! TFL Sue xx Well the lovely
Hazel over at Dido's Designs has just told me that it's the
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge that ask for a charm to be
used on your creation, so thank you soooo much Hazel!xx

award:

The Karma Award:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers
aim to find and be friends. They are not interested
in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons
of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award
to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this
cleverly written text into the body of their award.
So I would like to pass both of these awards onto:-
Sassy
Sonia
Ruth
Gina
Avril
Sarah
June
Erin
Phew! I know the first award is only meant to be passed on to
five more but I am feeling very generous today! Please go

"Aloha"

This little greeting means Hello in Hawaiian and I have coloured
my beautiful Hawaiian Tilda to match the Just Magnolia Challenge
this week which is to use the colours Pink and Green. Don't you
think she looks fab doing her Hula dance? I was lucky enough
to get married in Hawaii and if I can find an old piccie I will pop
it on next week! I am in a bit of a rush this morning as we are
meeting a friend who is running in the London Marathon today
so we need to set off pretty soon! I really do admire these people
it takes a lot of self discipline and hard work! and lots of pasta!!!
I will take my camera along and hopefully get some good pictures.
So getting back to my card! I have coloured her using my water
colour palette, the Palm tree was made from punched hearts and
two different sized leaves which came with some flowers I bought
(which are in an organised jar now) so who knows the name! Sorry!
I have sewn two buttons on for the coconuts (Pink and Green of
course)! Papers are from K & Co and Lasting Impressions.
The sentiment is computer generated, the leaves around
the outside of Tilda are another filigree stamp from the Laura Ashley
Connemara set. Flower brad DC. As this is quite a simple card it
also meets the challenge over on the ABC Challenge Blog Woohoo!
Think that's all, have a fab Sunday everyone and happy crafting. Sue xx

Presenting......"Miss Understood"

.......Little Miss Understood!!.... Lol! I'm sure she is an Angel really
this cutie arrived today along with her 5 Gorjuss sisters from set 2,
how exciting!! As I have been out and about today I have not had
a lot of time to craft, but I managed to get this little lovely with
bucket loads of attitude inked and coloured...she is fab isn't she?
and I can't wait to use the others. Well I just couldn't wait until
tomorrow either to put her on, so if the piccie is a bit grainy, its
because the light in here is really poor at night, so I might have
to take some better pictures of her tomorrow! I hope you like her!
Papers are from BG Bitter Sweet, hearts I have hand drawn and
cut out. I have drawn kisses with dots on the ends all around the
border of the card similar to the ones inside the hearts. flowers
and ribbons from stash. TFL Sue xx

"A Happy St.George's Day"

For all you traditionalists out there a very Happy St. George's Day
to you all! Hope you are all flying your flags with pride. If you were
passing my house this morning you would have seen me trying to
fix our new Super Duper De-Luxe flag to my broomstick handle
(not of the witch kind I'll have you know)! outside of our bedroom
window! well it's a good job I know some good knots and had double
sided tape, brown parcel tape and all the necessary equipment to
assist me, as we don't have a proper flag pole or unit for it to sit in!
Well it's been up most of the day and nothing has snapped or
drooped!! So here is a little card I have made in honour of
St. George and a little quote which I thought would be appropriate
to all us crafters from another Great Man, Sir Winston Churchill!
So for the card I have used BG from the Lime Rickey pack for the
cross and the rose is a lovely stamp which I have water coloured.
Happy Crafting! TFL Sue xx

"I Love Tea"!!

Ok calm is resumed, after burning my toast twice and numerous
cups of my beloved T..............
Ooh I do love a nice cup of Rosie Lea - Tea!! I am definitely a
teapot. I don't think there is anything better than a nice cup
of tea especially when it's shared with friends and of course a
nice cream cake!!! mmm...So I decided to give this little stamp
an airing yesterday.............when I saw this beautiful stamp
from Leanne Ellis it took me back to my mum's kitchen where
we would sit and have numerous cups of tea putting the world
to rights! My mum used to love her tea too, so I thought I
would make this stamp into a wall hanging plaque for my kitchen!
The papers I have used are from K & Co and the decoupage
flowers are from a 12 x 12 sheet of making memories, vintage
rose crackle which is quite old! To colour the image I have used
my water colour palette. The border stamp around the outside is
from a clear set of Laura Ashley Connemara (this set is full of
beautiful filigree shapes). The green paper is punched with my
Fiskars border punch and I have also punched the heart shape.
For the "I Love Tea" sentiment I have used my Hero Arts
alphabet and the heart stamp is from Funstamps, I have also
placed three little pink rhinestones in the top right corner.
Ribbons and lace from stash. Once complete I mounted it onto
a thick piece of card.

Here you can see before the decoupage flowers and hearts
were in place..I used this old emery board to file down the
rough edges of the thick card, I also use it for distressing
my papers, it is so handy! I hope you like it, TFL Sue xx

"Dotty Tilda"

I just love this little "Tilda" she is called "Summer Tilda with Bow"!
I have used the fab sketch over at CCSR and also used the
colours to coincide with the Colour Create Challenge too!! So two
for one whoo hoo, as soon as I try to catch up with the challenges
they have changed!!! don't know what every one's secret is??? can
someone let me in on it pleeeeease? So for CCSR I have used the
doodles clear stamp set to make these lovely flowers! this is
such a lovely sketch I really enjoyed it! The Colour Create have
asked for Pink, Black and White with Polka Dots as an optional
extra, so thought her little bow fits the bill just nicely. The papers
I have used are BG Boxer and Pm sweet nothings. I have used
my Le Plume II pens and water colour palette to colour Tilda.
The black card I have stamped with my new Hero Arts border
called fan lace, I used Anna Griffin Pink Rose pigment ink and
heat embossed, then added white eyelets just for a change.
The sentiment is from Personal Impressions.
The flowers have diamante centres for the two smaller ones and
rose ribbon bud for the larger and finished with a Pink gingham
bow. Think that's everything! TFL Sue xx

Miscellaneous!!

Last week I was asked to make a 25th Wedding Anniversary
card and this is it........(not the best picture as it was taken at night)!!!

....I also had to make 60 of these for a 40th party for this
Saturday......

I also made this............

For someone who loves Geraniums, which I now have an
aversion to after cutting this little lot out to decoupage........

I bought these fabby new papers which I thought I would share
with you before I send them to the guillotine!!!........

......... and last but by no means least I found this fabby idea on
the Hero Arts website, using an ice cube tray when water colouring
to wash out your brush it really does save you lots of time
changing your smaller palette! How fab it that!! TFL Sue xx

spreading the love!!! God Bless her!
I have coloured her using my water colour palette, the faux
lavender stitching is done with my Le Plume II pen. Papers are
from K & Co and the blue textured paper is from the Laura Ashley
flock range. Punched leaves, flowers and buds, pearls and ribbon
from stash, the words to this sentiment I just love, which I
printed from the computer. Good luck everyone, this is a fab

"You Make My World Bear-able"!

>

These beautiful flowers were delivered to me yesterday,
Out of the blue! From my Fab Hubby!!! Well he definitely was
yesterday!!!
So I thought it only fair that as I am surrounded daily
by my card making paraphernalia that I make him a special card!

and this is it...........

This beautiful fabric button brad is from K & Co.
I have used this gorgeous bear again I know, but he is so cute
and just seems to fit with any occasion!!! Hearts I have drawn
freehand and cut out. The sentiments on the back have been
printed on the computer and then water coloured around the edges
once I had fixed them in place.
Water coloured him to match the papers, a bit Bluey/Green around
the gills I know but I like him he's definitely different.
Papers are from K & Co double sided I have cut a zig zag to
follow the flower pattern which makes a delightful central
panel. Flowers and ribbon from stash. I have just seen over
on the ABC Challenge J is for Jagged Edge, this just happens
to be er Jagged, so...
I hope you like it. TFL Sue xx
